Summer Schedule:

  • LITTLE BALLERINA BOOTCAMP: For our littlest ballerinas, we have a week full of leaps and twirls! Two classes options available- one for students age 2.5-5 and one for students 6-8 years of age. These little dancers will be introduced to a variety of ballet steps, creative movement, a healthy snack, and arts and crafts! Little Ballerina Bootcamp will run from June 24th-June 28th from 10:30am-12:30pm.

  • LET’S GET TECHNICAL WORKSHOP: For slightly older dancers, let’s get technical! Students will be given a variety of dance styles and movements, and will focus more intensely on proper alignment and technique. This workshop is perfect for the dancer who has some basic experience but is ready to LEVEL UP! Ages 8-12 welcome! Let’s Get Technical Workshop will run June 24th-June 28th, 12:30pm-2:30pm.

Rehearsals for A Christmas Wish, Competition, and select recital pieces may be called for Saturday rehearsals throughout the year.


LEVEL KEY:

Carrington and Crafton uses a placement system that combines factors such as age, experience, technique level and discipline level to place students in their proper classes. We find that this allows students to work in an environment that equates with their specific needs and goals. We believe in meeting students where they are, and working with them to continuously grow and flourish in their chosen genres of dance.


“Tot” classes: Students aged 2-5 y/o

“Pre” classes: Students aged 4-7 y/o

“Level I” classes: Students, typically aged 7-9, who are beginning to learn the fundamentals of dance.

“Level II” classes: Students typically aged 8-10, who have grasped basic fundamentals of dance and are beginning to expand their movement vocabulary.

“Level III” classes: Students typically aged 9-12 who understand fundamental dance movement and are working towards stronger technique and alignment.

“Level IV/V” classes: Students who are proficient in technical skill and vocabulary, and have demonstrated a disciplined dedication to their classes. Admittance to these classes are by placement only.
